STORY: CNN has terminated long-lasting host Wear Lemon, the reporter said in a post on Twitter on Monday...
adding that he was 'staggered' by the organization's choice to let him go.
Lemon had been with CNN for a long time, most as of late as a co-host of the organization's 'Earlier today program'.
He confronted a kickback recently for remarks he made about conservative official competitor Nikki Haley not being, Statement 'thriving'.
Lemon offered the chauvinist comment during a live conversation about Haley's suggestion that individuals beyond 75 years old who wish to serve in the White House ought to demonstrate mental skill.
He said that a lady's prime is in her 20s, 30s or 'perhaps her 40s.'
He later apologized.
Tim Groeling, an Interchanges Teacher at the College of California, says the episode gives off an impression of being a trigger for Lemon's excusal.
"this Nikki Haley thing, I think truly distanced him with the center CNN crowd, where he suggested that since she was more seasoned, she was 'past that certain point'. It added that Lemon was offered an opportunity to meet with the organization's administration yet that he rather made an announcement on his own Twitter account.
