November 2023 saw reports of their splitting; the two remained silent until last December when they verified their split on separate Instagram postings.
Since then, ideas and speculations regarding the dissolution of their almost 12-year marriage have been floated around, including talks of cheating and involved persons close to Xian's heart.
Xian at last responded all the accusations last May 2, verifying his present relationship status with senior associate producer Iris Lee.
The actor also went into great detail about the specifics of his previous relationship with Kim and their decision to split ways.
Xian remarked, "No one will really know what is going on in a relationship, kaming dalawa talaga makakapagsabi. And that is why we deliberately tried to say that and let's just drop it there. We were both understanding each other and that we would be separating ways. Hindi Na kailangan pang magsabi kung sino'ng nagkulang.
[ Nobody will really understand the dynamics of a relationship. We only know [what happened], hence it was our deliberate attempt to release [a breakup] statement and let's just let it go at that. We were going our different ways, and I understood her as well as vice versa. One does not have to identify who lacks which things.]
Ultimately, he underlined that all the mutual understanding and combined work were results of their "beautiful relationship."
