The Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) program was approved by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) and the California Department of Education (CDE) following the COVID-19 outbreak in response to school and child care closures in the US state.
It is a federal program that provides food benefits to eligible households to make up for the in-person school meals that children who were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic missed.
