The VMAs will telecast live from Long Island's UBS Arena on September 11 at 8 p.m. Eastern.
The award celebration was moved ahead a day owing to the presidential debate. ABC News reported that former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris will debate on September 10.
Swift leads the VMAs with 10 nominations, including eight for her "Fortnight" music video and best pop and artist of the year. Post Malone, who has nine, is her "Fortnight" partner and comes in second. He garnered his ninth nomination for his country blockbuster single "I Had Some Help," with Morgan Wallen, and has received eight nominations alongside Swift.

The remaining nominees for the artist of the year category are SZA, Bad Bunny, Eminem, Sabrina Carpenter, and Ariana Grande.
With six nods apiece, Grande, Carpenter, and Eminem are tied; Megan Thee Stallion and SZA each receive five. Teddy Swims, Olivia Rodrigo, and LISA of Blackpink are next, each with four nominations.
There are 29 new nominees this year, including Wallen, Carpenter, and Swims in addition to Benson Boone and Tyla, who each have three nominations.
The laureate of the Video Vanguard Award is Katy Perry. She's going to perform too.
Shakira, Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, and Missy Elliott are among the former honorees.
For the first time since she performed and hosted the awards show in 2017, Perry will take the VMA stage once more.
Over her career, the pop singer has won five VMAs. 2011 saw her score her first three accolades: best collaboration, best special effects (for "E.T.," which starred Kanye West), and video of the year ("Firework").
