During the live broadcast of "It's Showtime" on Thursday, November 2, Kim Chiu seemed taken aback by a question Vice Ganda asked about her personal life.
A Tawag ng Tanghalan competitor was being interviewed by the co-hosts and Amy Perez regarding the source of inspiration for the love ballad he played. He brought up his girlfriend.
"Sino'ng nagpapangiti sa 'yo lately?" Vice Ganda then shifted the subject to Chiu.
The "Linlang" actress was asked to greet the person who makes her smile because she was unable to respond right away. With a simple "Hello," she turned to face the camera.
When asked straight-forward questions, Chiu, who is rumored to be dating her ex-costar Xian Lim, answered, "Pamilya ko, kamag-anak ko."
"Napaka-OA!" she exclaimed, at which Vice Ganda sent her a mocking glance.
Eventually, Chiu brought up Lim's nickname, "Xi," when discussing the significance of communication.
"Usap. Communication is the key to all we do, Chiu replied, addressing the one thing she cannot afford to be without in her life.
