TMZ pictures show Gracie Abrams and Paul Mescal still in the early phases of their relationship after starting dating rumors in June after being seen dining together at London's Brat Restaurant. The Normal People actress, 28, and the Close to You musician, 24, do not appear to have taken their affair seriously even though they were pictured together on several instances this summer.

Actually, a source told People the pair had just "been hooking off," when they were seen on a Sunday, August 18 date. The insider said their relationship is still in "early stages."

The fresh flames were photographed meandering across London's Mayfair area over the weekend. The Daily Mail claims that their city date was rife with PDA and that the pair kissed many times. Photographs taken by DeuxMoi also show the two enjoying the All Points East music festival in Victoria Park, London that evening.

Abrams confirmed her participation to the event by sharing on Instagram Stories a video of Mitski's performance.

The singer was in a long-term relationship with guitarist Blake Slatkin before her romance with Mescal. The singer said in a 2021 interview with RIFF Magazine that she and Slatkin had dated for five years before separating. To work on her debut EP, Minor, the two were able to set aside their personal feelings, however.

"Our history, what I'm saying, was strong enough to bear the weight of a creative process like this," Abrams said of their then-working relationship.

Mescal has before collaborated with singer Phoebe Bridgers. The former couple met X in May 2020 and stayed in contact via social media until November 2021 when they walked the LACMA Gala red carpet together. Fans assumed they had broken up in late 2022, when the boygenius member began dating comedian Bo Burnham around the same period.

Mescal stayed quiet during his relationship with Bridgers and even after their divorce; he has never been one to talk about his personal life in interviews. In a 2023 Vanity Fair interview, he claimed, "giving strangers an answer about my life doesn't actually help me."

He noted that while speaking what needs to be said could seem like a serotonin boost for a minute, the content is rapidly turned to Twitter fodder, which does not help anyone's cause.
