Though behind-the-scenes it wasn't always perfect with Florida Georgia Line bandmates Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley, they have had great success in country music.
Starting their team in 2010, Hubbard and Kelley shattered records with their 2012 first hit, "Cruise." Following four studio albums released between 2012 and 2019, Tyler and his wife Hayley Hubbard made news in 2020 when Tyler's bandmate was unfollowed. As Tyler and Hayley fervent supporters of Kamala Harris and Brian, who is married to Brittney Kelley, lambasted Joe Biden supporters, fans quickly assumed political differences drove a wedge between them.
The two guys tackled the social media controversy in a joint interview on Exit 209 on SiriusXM.
"I unfollowed BK for a few days while we were through this political, you know, in middle of this election and everything going on," Tyler told Storme Warren. "And I even gave him a call and said, "Hey buddy, I love you. And in real life, I adore you much more than in your stories at current moment. I am thus unfollowing you since I just want to. Not personally related. I still find great love in you. You continue to be my brother. Simply said, I wanted not to see it every time I accessed Instagram. And hence it was not really important.
As they worked on their fifth studio album, Life Rolls On, in 2021, the members hinted about a break in 2022 and establishing individual careers. Brian explained then that they are "taking a break rather than going their separate ways." Months later, though, he made hints suggesting the twosome had no intentions for working together following their summer 2022 tour.
