Each of us has one or two piece of clothes that we usually avoid since we believe they are not appropriate for our body type. For me, that one piece of apparel has ALWAYS been a plunging neckline—like the one on this effortlessly elegant shirt or this fabulously basic but silky maxi dress. For the longest time, I wanted I could make my preferred deep-V dresses look just as easy as other ladies do without putting all too much effort "out there." I always adored how they looked on smaller-busted females!

How to elegantly wear a plunging neckline?

You first have to choose appropriate underwear. Most of the time (especially this one from Bare Necessities), a u-plunge bra looks great; but, this baby has a plunge back as well, so I had to wear nipple covers.

I didn't have to tape anything in place as I don't really have a big chest; but, if you require more support, absolutely be sure to do so! Conversely, if you have a tiny chest and wish to produce additional cleavage, tape might be quite helpful. I'm definitely not shy to expose skin now, but I find plunging necks to be rather embarrassing, so they still kind of scare me. Though regardless, it is what it is; I know that is my inner goodie two shoes speaking!

Fortunately, I know how to wear them and still seem sophisticated. Sidebar: This is purely personal taste; I am NOT evaluating other women's attire for record keeping. You should dress anyway you like, whenever you wish! You will look like a real rockstar as long as you are confident and relaxed.

For those of you who have the same worry, it comes down to balance. For instance, this dress features a plunging neckline but a moderate enough a-line skirt hits me below the knees. For at least me, if it was limited and brief, it would have been really too much!

For me, I simply enjoy "show-off" one body area at a time. Though that sounds somewhat unusual, I assure you it works. It also relies on the event as well. I wanted to hide too much since I was getting ready for a wedding, but if I were visiting NYC, I would feel more at ease sporting something a little more risky. Regarding plunge necks, do you guys think they are a do or a don't?
