I am a huge admirer of tardigrades, commonly known as water bears. These small invertebrates can withstand severe heat, cold, and even the vacuum of space by adopting a "tun" state in which they remain suspended animation until more favorable circumstances arise. They were the focus of my undergraduate dissertation in college, where I investigated the mobility of several species over various strata. It was one of the most pleasant occasions of my life.

As you would assume, I collect stuffed tardigrades.

Here's my choice of the finest plush tardigrades for fellow water bear enthusiasts!

Giant Microbes Waterbear (Hypsibius dujardini) Plush Toy.

This is my first plush tardigrade! In fact, as far as I know, it was the first inflatable item on the market. I purchased it straight immediately, and he now has a conspicuous location in my bedroom.

Stuffed Water Bear Plush Mini (Tardigrade)

This one is a bit simpler than Giant Microbes, but they stayed with the blue motif. I'm not clear why most of these tardigrades are blue; they're not really blue. I have no issue with it; I appreciate the hue blue.

Stuffed Water Bear (tardigrade plush)-the largest one!

Finally, Hashtag's large inflatable tardigrade! This is the largest one! I had to get this one, of course.

Water Bear Stuffed Toy Brown by Hamee.

Hamee's tardigrade is the only brown one. It is more comprehensive than Giant Microbe and Hashtag when it comes to tardigrade segmentation. In actuality, it seems to reside in the Macrobiotus genus.

Water Bear (tardigrade) Ornament Key Ring

This is one I don't have yet, but I plan to get it. It is also the group's sole and most inexpensive keychain tardigrade.
