SB19's Josh Cullen has released the first track off his first solo album, "Silent Cries."
The music reflects Josh's typical swagger, exploding with energy and surrounded by innovative pop-punk textures blended throughout. It's a wonderful opportunity for the P-pop singer to show off his flexibility as an artist, as he explores new aural territory to present new sounds to his devoted followers and audience. Josh's lyrics address themes of reflection, drawing on his experiences of being trapped in a negative cycle, as he had "been drowning in the dark, wish I could find the light through silent cries."

Josh's debut album, Lost and Found, will be released on September 6, 2024, and "Silent Cries" is the first single from it. An official music video for the song is anticipated to be published later today, while the second and third singles from the album will be available on streaming and download platforms on September 2 and 5, 2024. An extra music video is scheduled to be released on September 6, 2024, to coincide with the album's release.
Josh and his fellow SB19 bandmates were recently chosen by Billboard Philippines to represent the Philippines at Billboard's K POWER 100 Event in Seoul, South Korea, with other P-pop phenomenons BINI. Josh and his SB19 bandmates played their popular track "GENTO" to wrap off the evening, during which they were also awarded with the Voices of Asia award. "This award belongs not just to us, but to the entire P-pop movement, OPM, and, of course, everyone sharing Filipino creativity across Asia and the world," said Josh, who also recognized fellow recipients BINI.
SB19's highly awaited documentary film PAGTATAG! was released earlier this week and is presently the top-grossing film in the Philippines, having been shown in 184 theaters nationwide. In a review of the documentary, Billboard Philippines described it as "economical and emotional, with a touching, hopeful ending," and praised director Jed Regala's ability to stitch hundreds of pieces of footage together to present a significant period in SB19's story.
