Witnesses remember Leviss practically hyperventilating when telling Lala Kent, Katie Murphy and Kristina Kelley about the circumstances that led to the split.
I was pretty hungover the next day [when shooting on the girls’ trip]. And I had anxiety. That talk that I had with the females in the car was more of a sensitive type of discussion that you would usually have with close trustworthy friends,” Leviss recalled. "As well as I knew in the forefront of my mind that they are not safe people for us to bare it all to. Leviss said she left a lot of details out about what truly led to her terminating her engagement to Kennedy, 32.
I was retelling them the scenario of me planning to broken up with James and how I had plans of placing the ring box on the table when he got back from Europe. All of my belongings was about to be gone and I thought like that would be the best way for me to breakup up with him,” she continued. We have chosen to break off the wedding. It’s been anything that I have been worrying about for a while, but I think because James has sensed that my heart hasn’t been entirely in it,” Leviss remarked at the time.
I didn’t wish to give up on him, since he really has showed me how serious he is to me and the thing that he is prepared to do to better him. But I believe like it is anything deep within. I have been experiencing nightmares about our wedding day, and I think it’s a warning indicator that something is amiss.

Only a few individuals know [the actual breakup] tale. It was also at a period where I didn’t wanted to tell the public because I didn’t wish to ruin his life. That’s actually what brought on that panic assault, because I wanted to express these things,” she said on Tuesday.
It was more to knowing story, and I was holding oneself back and excessive overthinking things knowing because this isn’t a safe place. That anxiousness built up so greatly that I couldn’t breathe. I felt faint. I couldn’t see. And I simply started hyperventilating.
Following calling it quits with Kennedy's work, Leviss resurfaced in season 10 with her romantic life as the heart of the show. Jessica was linked to Peter Madrigal, Garcelle Beauvais, also‘ son Oliver Lawson and Tom Schwartz before her relationship with Tom Sandoval made news in March 2023.
Leviss checked myself into a mental illness facility in the midst of the encounter and remained in rehabilitation for 90 days until declaring in August 2023 that she has no plans to returning to the reality series.
