Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik have been at the center of romance rumors since they were spotted having dinner together in Manhattan, New York last week.
At the time, a source told Entertainment Tonight that they "came to hold hands and kissed."
The source added, "It seemed like they were comfortable with each other and it was clear it was a date."
Well, according to a report from Page Six, the singers are thought to have had a history together since Gomez's boyfriend Taylor Swift dated former Malik's One Direction bandmate Harry Styles, who has recently spotted singing former ELLE UK-Cover star Emily Ratajkowski hugged and kissed.
"They had an affair years ago when Taylor and Harry were dating," the source said.
It doesn't surprise me at all that they are together [today].
Speculation about Gomez and Malik's blossoming romance has been fueled by TikTok user @klarissa.mpeg, who claimed her friend, a hostess at a Manhattan restaurant, claimed the singers walked in in their workspace while "kissing" their hands.
News of Gomez's apparent new love comes after he came out as single on Instagram in January. The 30-year-old wrote a post titled "I like being alone too much" with the hashtag and "#iamsingle".
This isn't the first time the "Lose You to Love Me" singer has spoken openly about her love life over the years. In April 2022, ahead of her 30th birthday, she poked fun at her love life in a hilarious TikTok video.
She said: "The last time I was single I was 24 and the dating group was everyone. And now it's like a collection of age-appropriate men who are old and rude, and I don't want that.
The star previously had a high-profile affair with Justin Bieber, who is now married to model Hailey Bieber.
Meanwhile, Malik hasn't been romantically involved with anyone since splitting from model Gigi Hadid, with whom he shares two-year-old daughter Khai.
Just days ago, a source told US Weekly, "Gigi has no problem dating Zayn." As long as he's happy, stable, and continues to be a good co-dad to [his daughter] Khai, she'll be fine, whoever she's dating.'
Time will tell if Gomez and Malik are a couple or not, but we'll let you know as soon as we know more.
