For the general public, iOS 18 will formally spread out in September 2024, coinciding with the introduction of the new iPhone 16 lineup.
Talking about the devices that will get the iOS 18, the operating system's new AI-powered features, particularly the advanced Siri capabilities, are only available on newer devices with the A17 Pro chip or later. This comprises the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, along with the forthcoming iPhone 16 series. However, other enhancements and upgrades will be available across all iOS 18-compatible devices.

The revamped Control Center offers speedier access to frequently used controls and allows third-party app integration.
Satellite messaging in the Messages app ensures connectivity without cellular or Wi-Fi, and iMessage enhancements include new text effects, formatting options, and message scheduling.
